Step 1: Start Small

Step 2: Mix Well

Are there any precautions for using Methylene Blue?
YES! Do not take Methylene Blue without consulting your healthcare provider if you are on a serotonin reuptake inhibitor, depression/anxiety medications or supplements.
These include: SSRI’s, SNRI’s, or other serotonergic drugs or supplements (St. John’s Wort, 5-HTP, or tryptophan). If taken with these medications it can cause dangerously high serotonin levels, leading to serotonin syndrome – a potentially life-threatening condition.
Methylene Blue does NOT inhibit serotonin itself. It is a potent inhibitor of monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A), an enzyme that breaks down serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine in the brain, which can increase serotonin levels by inhibiting its breakdown.
